The SY7T501 is an energy measurement IC monitoring any single-phase (2-wire) loads. The SY7T501 is ideally suited for applications such as smart-plugs, smart appliances, lighting and building automation.
The SY7T501 UART interface supports low baud rates to allow low-cost isolation when required. Additionally, the UART includes auto-baud function (detects and adjust baud rate to host’s rate)
The analog front end (AFE) provides a differential analog input for current sensing and a single-end input dedicated to voltage acquisition. A high-resolution delta-sigma converter feeds a fixed function digital signal processing block performing rms, active power and energy accumulation calculations. The analog front-end includes a comparator and relevant state machine providing voltage zero-crossing reference to internal blocks and digital outputs.
The SY7T501 includes a user-programmable trailing and leading-edge dimmer control block and a relay timing control for non-latching and latching (single coil) relay types.
